Portugal is a wonderful mixture of ancient history and modern development. It
boasts some dramatic coastal scenery where the mighty Atlantic rolls in from the
west, and in the South of the country is the Algarve with its sandy beaches and
warm seas so beloved by the British holiday maker. Inland the landscape is
varied and ranges from fertile plains devoted to agriculture to barren mountain
plateaux where nothing much grows and goats struggle to find a foothold. The
rivers that wind through these mountains carve out rich valley slopes
perfect
for vineyards. The capital city, Lisbon, is a great place to spend a few days,
being big enough to offer the big city experience, but small enough not to
overwhelm. Portugal has largely escaped the over-development of its neighbour
Spain, and a camping holiday here is a real get-away-from-it-all experience.
Eurocamp and Keycamp share the same three campsites in Portugal, but they
each offer different types of accommodation at differing price levels. All
accommodation is in mobile homes or bungalows. Click the links below to find out
more about what each company has to offer.
