Les Sables du Midi (formerly known as L’Occitanie) is a good value site, particularly for low season visits, and is within walking distance of Valras Plage. The site is virtually a straight road from the autoroute exit (12 km). On arrival, don’t be put off by the entrance (it could be more inspiring). You can find a more open pitch in the higher part of the site which is lightly wooded with some views of the surrounding countryside, or choose the lower area with plenty of shade which French visitors seem to do. A right of way divides the site into two parts. The bar, restaurant and pool make a nice social area in the higher part.
